What is digital scrapbooking?

Digital scrapbooking is a wonderful way to preserve your memories. You use a graphics based editing program such as Adobe Photoshop (PS), Adobe Photoshop Elements (PSE) JASC Paint Shop Pro (PSP) Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP) or a free version Paint.net.

Photographs are the main focus of any digital scrapbooking creation and from there,  you can let your imagination run wild.  Add papers, ribbons, bow, buttons, glitter,  the possibilities are endless and the perfect thing about digital scrapbooking, if you go wrong you can just undo and start again.

There are several advantages to digital scrapbooking over traditional paper scrapbooking.  Firstly, digital scrapbooking is relatively inexpensive, you can pick great bargains up around the web, whereas using products paper style you have to pay for each time you use it, Digital you can use the same thing over and over and over again, if you are bored of using the same thing you can re-colour it and give you even more possibility.  There is also so much less mess than traditional paper scrapbooking, if visitors turn up all you need to do is shut your monitor off, whereas with paper scrapbooking the mess gets everywhere.

Once you have completed your design and are pleased with it, there are many places you can upload to where you can get your layouts commented on, but if you still like to look at a physical product there are many places that will print and bind your pages into a beautiful book.

If you speak to any digital scrapbooker they will always say how great it is over paper scrapbooking,you can easily do more things and there is no mess!! Once you make the change there will be no going back.
